Today (October 14) Arctic Monkeys favourite John Cooper Clarke and The Stranglers frontman Hugh Cornwell released their first album as a duo, ‘This Time It’s Personal’. Part of that album is this cover of John Leyton’s ‘Johnny Remember Me’, which spent four weeks at Number One in 1961. It’s a mix of funereal Spaghetti Western guitar twang and Cooper Clarke’s striking, unmistakable voice.
