Nicolas Godin – Club 9 (2016)

Director Iracema Trevisan talks about her animation for French musician (and one half of Air) Nicolas Godin, featuring vocals from American artist Miranda July:

“The video came from the idea of daydreaming, of watching the world pass by and letting music change how we see it. I was also thinking about the huge amount of time we spend staring at a small screen in our hands and how that has become a kind of parallel reality. It’s become a primary source of (mis)communication and that’s where the words Miranda wrote made the whole thing strange and familiar at the same time. She is an amazing artist that understands this digital reality like no other.”
